• GameCo intends to develop new games in order to remain competitive in the market. They are looking for market, competitor, and sales insights to make the best use of their resources.

How have sales figures varied between geographic regions over time?
I constructed this line chart using an Excel pivot table to examine whether sales growth varied over time by geographic region.
• The data points to a considerable change in sales over time and across all geographical areas.
• North American sales were the greatest, although all regions' sales have been gradually dropping since 2008.
What other publishers will likely be the main competitors in the market?
• Using an Excel pivot table, I discovered that Electronic Arts is the most popular publisher from 2011 to 2016 based on global sales.
Are certain types of games more popular than others?
I created this pie chart in Excel based on global sales to show which genre is the most popular globally, and then I made the other visualization to highlight the top two genres for each market based on their sales.

• The two most popular gaming genres are Action and Shooter.
• The Action genre is the most popular across all markets, with the exception of Japan, where it comes in second.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
We should devote more resources to Action and Shooter Genres.
DELIVERABLES:
Investing in the steady EU and Japanese markets should be less risky.
Given the continued fall in the NA market, we should exercise caution.
We should keep an eye on Electronic Arts' performance because they are the market leader.
Given the current state of all markets, online games should be considered.
